Chevrolet tracker - front- or all-wheel drive B-class crossover. The public debut of the model took place at the Paris Motor Show in the fall of 2012. The start of sales in Ukraine is the end of May 2013.
The following bundles of power units are available:
All models with a 1.4-liter engine and a 1.8-liter engine paired with an automatic are all-wheel drive. The 4x4 formula for a 1.8-liter unit paired with a manual transmission is not available.
The weight of the all-wheel drive system itself is only 65 kg. The distribution of thrust between the front and rear axles is managed by a Borg Warner multi-plate clutch. It is noteworthy that, unlike many plug-in all-wheel drive systems, the Chevrolet Tracker does not act after the fact, but preventively. In other words, at the start, the system, without waiting for slippage, transmits torque to all wheels. Moreover, if at the beginning of the movement the electronics determine that there is no threat of slipping, the car will immediately turn into a front-wheel drive. In addition, while driving, the system constantly monitors steering angles, the position of the accelerator pedal, longitudinal and lateral accelerations, connecting all-wheel drive and thus distributing torque depending on the situation.
Despite its modest dimensions (4248 mm long, 1776 mm wide), the Chevrolet Tracker trunk is almost 100 liters larger (358 liters) than that of its main competitor Nissan Juke. Nevertheless, the main rivals of the crossover can now also be attributed Mitsubishi ASX, Skoda Yeti And Suzuki SX4, and in the future Peugeot 2008 And Renault Captur.
Chevrolet Tracker is available in three trim levels. The basic equipment includes a stability control system, front and side airbags for front passengers, central locking with remote control, air conditioning, front power windows, heated and electrically adjustable mirrors, a CD / MP3 audio system (Bluetooth, AUX, USB), 16-inch steel wheels and roof rails.
Clearance Chevrolet Tracker is 168 mm. Serial production of the crossover is established in South Korea. The car has a turned co-platform - Opel Mokka.
